UPVC (Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride), commonly known as hard PVC, is an amorphous thermoplastic resin made from the polymerization of vinyl chloride monomer plus certain additives (such as stabilizers, lubricants, fillers, etc.). In addition to using additives, it also adopts the method of blending and modification with other resins, making it of obvious practical value. These resins include CPVC, PE, ABS, EVA, MBS, etc. The melt viscosity of UPVC is high and the fluidity is poor. Even if the injection pressure and melt temperature are increased, the fluidity does not change much. In addition, the molding temperature of resin is very close to the thermal decomposition temperature, and the temperature range that can be molded is very narrow, making it a difficult material to mold.

UPVC Features
- Strong corrosion resistance: Compared with ordinary cast iron pipes and galvanized pipes, UPVC pipes have corrosion resistance, can withstand strong acids and alkalis, and will not rust or scale. There is no need to worry about the “red water” phenomenon when using it.
- Small fluid resistance: The inner wall of UPVC pipe is very smooth. Its surface roughness coefficient is only 0.009, the fluid resistance is very small, and the water pressure will not be reduced excessively.
- High mechanical strength: UPVC pipe for water supply has good water pressure resistance, impact resistance and tensile strength. It can withstand 110 atmospheres of pressure for 1 hour at room temperature without rupture.
- Sanitary and non-toxic: UPVC pipes for water supply use a unique green and environmentally friendly lead-free formula system instead of the traditional compound lead salt formula system, so it will not damage water quality or affect human health.
- Lightweight and easy to install and construct: The density of UPVC pipe is one-fifth that of ordinary cast iron, making it easy to transport and load. And it uses special adhesive or elastic seals to connect, making installation and construction simple and fast.
- Temperature-appropriate performance of water supply pipes: The operating temperature range of UPVC pipes for water supply is room temperature. When the temperature is low, the brittleness increases, which is unfavorable for installation and construction; when the temperature is high, the tensile strength decreases and the water pressure resistance decreases.
- Good water tightness: 15 minutes after the adhesive is bonded, the bonding strength can reach above 12.5/C and will not decline significantly after years of use. The sealing ring at the sleeve of the elastic seal is also consistent with the UPVC pipe. It has a long service life, and there is no concern about aging and leakage.

Main uses of UPVC.
- Polyvinyl chloride (UPVC) resin is used as the main raw material, and stabilizers, colorants, fillers, and ultraviolet absorbers are added to make UPVC profiles.
- Door and window frames can be made by cutting, welding or screwing.
- Equipped with sealing strips, tops, hardware, etc. to increase sealing.
- The cavity of the profile exceeding a certain length needs to be filled with steel lining to enhance the rigidity of the profile.
- This makes the more popular UPVC doors and windows.
